AERIFY-5 evaluates itepekimab, a monoclonal antibody targeting IL-33, in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. It aims to reduce airway inflammation and prevent exacerbations by blocking the IL-33 pathway.

Key Inclusion Criteria
- Age 40–85 years
- Diagnosed COPD ≥1 year with post-bronchodilator FEV1/FVC <0.70
- FEV1 ≥20% and <80% predicted
- History of ≥2 moderate or ≥1 severe exacerbations in past year
- CAT score ≥10 (symptomatic patients)
- Stable maintenance therapy (dual/triple inhaler therapy) for ≥2–3 months
Key Exclusion Criteria
- Current or recent COPD exacerbation at screening
- History of asthma or other significant lung diseases
- Uncontrolled cardiovascular or systemic diseases
- Active infections (e.g., tuberculosis, hepatitis, HIV)
- Use of prohibited medications (e.g., high-dose systemic steroids, biologics)
